SSSCat, Training the cat to stay off the kitchen counter, funny cat video

No animals were harmed in the making of this film. My wife got frustrated with trying to keep the cat from jumping on the kitchen counter. She found a product called the SSSCat that is a close range motion detector that activates an air canister. Please note, we love out cat but this is a funny cat video non the less. Visit for more info.

I laughed so hard…I was just “adopted” by my first cat, and I’m trying to find ways to keep him away from the kitchen counters. Hilarious.

Lol this is good. The cats jump on the counter when we’re not around, this would work for that I believe. They certainly know not to be on there while we are around, tho–zero tolerance! We see them up there, we yell very loudly, “NO! OFF THE COUNTER!” And sometimes we hit the counter to make our point. They scidaddle. And they know better now–if they’re up on that counter when we enter the room, they scram, and QUICK lol. Cats really are smart–but also mischievous.

PETCO is the only damn place that doesn’t carry this item. I hate that place, they are friggin’ useless.

Will it work for the whole counter, or will it just avoid coming close to the place where the gadget it?

OMG!!! You’re evil!! Just wipe of the counter when you have to use it!!

yea, that sanitary, cat goes in litter box, then on counter… just wipe the counter… sure… great idea… why bother to train the cat to stay off somewhere ts not suppose be on.. When the cat pays the mortgage, he can get on his own counter… till then, its my rules.

@Hubukai Then disinfect it before use!!! Or next time you do something you know you are not allowed to, we just blow some air in your face!!!

@Kathrine890 – This cat is SERIOUSLY pampered by Mr. Hubukai and neither one of us would ever do anything to harm him; but with this logic, I shouldn’t have bothered to train him at all; I should just let him go to the bathroom wherever he wants and let him hop on the counter and eat the Thanksgiving turkey while it rests. If I was a guest in someone’s home and their cat was on the counter tops, I would not eat there. I expect that my guests hold the same sanitation standards.

@FatesWarn I just don’t understand that people can do things like that to their pets.. Then we must do the same to you when you do something you are not allowed to.. Just don’t understand people can treat their pets like that!

@Kathrine890 – many people disagree on methods of parenting (day care, medications, etc.) or pet training (crates, shock collars, etc.) – doesn’t make any one of them bad people. There are people in this world that do despicable things to animals, so I think maybe your focus should be directed towards them and not a family that has used a harmless tool to correct the bad behavior of a beloved pet.

@FatesWarn I don’t think you should tell me what to do, you don’t know me.. We have the freedom of speech, I am free to say what I want, and I did.. I don’t tell you what to do, do I? No, ergo you should just back the fuck off!!

Hey Katrine890, because of you inappropriate use of foul language on my youtube site, I am going to use my freedom of free speech to let everyone know that i am going to ban you from my channel because you are a stupid dummy-head and don’t really understand the logic of Normal People life. Stay on the internet and go find some other person to bother with your lack of logic and knowledge of life, the universe and everything.

How long do you have to use it before the cat learned to stay off the counter top?
